DARBY WELLS | Accounting Associate II
Meet Darby, a Master of Professional Accountancy graduate from Montana State University who brings both technical accounting knowledge and real-world industry experience to the FNCH team. Before joining the firm, Darby spent three years working as a construction controller, developing a strong foundation in financial reporting and high-level accounting operations. She is currently pursuing her CPA license while continuing her professional development at FNCH.
Darby specializes in preparing financial statements, cleaning up historical data, and working through complex accounting issues and transactions. She enjoys digging into detailed financial information and ensuring the information clients receive is not only accurate but genuinely useful for decision-making. She takes pride in being a trusted resource for clients, celebrating their victories like her own as their businesses succeed and grow.
Born and raised in eastern Montana, Darby enjoys spending her time outside hiking and camping when she is not studying or working. She also appreciates slowing down with a good book whenever she gets the chance.
With a psychology degree and experience in mental health operations, Alexis approaches company optimization with an understanding of human behavior, operational dynamics, and process improvement strategies essential to building effective company processes. Alexis enjoys the analytical nature of operational management and the accounting industry.
As a fifth generation Gallatin Valley resident, when not in the office, you can find Alexis enjoying the great outdoors of Montana with her dogs Shep and Gillian.
